Sweetwater Branch Academy is now accepting applications for K-10th grades for current school year and for K-11th grades for the 2012-2013 school year. For more information, and to apply online, please visit our website or call the office.

 
Clubs/Activities

Sweetwater Branch Academy After School Clubs start at 3:30 pm and end at 4:15 pm. SWBA also provides weekend and morning studies.

 

 

 


 
College Guidance

Ask us about our free College Mentorship Program (CMP). Our school will start a Dual Enrollment Program with Santa Fe Community College in 2012-2013 school year.

 

 

 
Home Visits

We are very happy with the degree of parent involvement we have in our school and we are very proud of our Parent Volunteer Organization. In order to make our student, parent and teacher connection even stronger SWBA teachers researched and came up with the idea of home visits.

SWBA Math Team Placed 3rd out of 20 teams in Math Counts

mathcounts_front_pageSweetwater Branch Academy Math Team (Zachary Vance, Carlo Jansen, Jessica Lipori, Natalie Liu, and Kegan Hollern) did an amazing job in MathCounts last Friday at O'Connell Center. As a team, we placed 3rd out of 20 teams.

 
FCAT results

We reached another goal in our first year. Our school is an 'A' school based on 2009 FCAT results. This is a great achievement for a first year school in addition to medals that our students won in regional and statewide Science Olympiad competitions.

 
Alachua Board Member Dr. Gunnar F. Paulson Visited SWBA
paulsonSweetwater Branch Academy was honored to have the Alachua School Board Member Gunnar F. Paulson, Ed.D. visit with our school on August 19th, 2011.  He came to meet our staff and learn more about our programs, academic and extracurricular activities. We would like to thank Dr. Gunnar for his visit and interest in our programs.
 
Orientation Day

SWBA Connect is a tracking system in which you can view your student’s grades. You can also learn upcoming events in each of your child's classes.

Science FAIR

We would like to congratulate the following students for winning the school wide science fair. These students will represent our school in the Alachua County regional Science Fair in second semester.

 
Science Olympiad 2012 - 4th Place Winner

We would like to congratulate our Science Olympiad team for their success in the Invitational Science Olympiad Tournament in Orlando on January 21, 2012.

SECME Team Did a Wonderful Job

Science Olympiad Students Visit the Mayor at City Hall

mayor_frontpageOn Monday, March 7th, 2011, Science Olympiad students and Principal Goktepe were invited to visit Mayor Craig Lowe at our city hall for purpose of being congratulated for their recent accomplishment of placing 1st in their regional competition and qualifying for state.

 
Science Olympiad Team meets with Dr. Boyd, Alachua County Superintendent

superintendent_frontpageOn Thursday, April 28th, 2011, Science Olympiad team members went to Dr. Boyd’s office to congratulate the members of the school Science Olympiad team.  This team recently competed in the state Science Olympiad competition at the University of Central Florida in Orlando on April 16th, 2011.
